Deployed
from Ft. Hood, Tx. with HHC, 3rd Corps in August 1965. The unit was redesignated,
at sea, to 30th HHC, I Field Force, Viet Nam, and stationed in Nha Trang.
Promoted to Captain in September, 1965, Ron requested transfer to the 1st
Infantry Division. Joining the 'QUARTERHORSE' in November 1965, he was assigned
as S-3 Air. From 1 January, 1966 until 8 June, 1966, he commanded HHT, 1-4 Cav.
While visiting the Squadron, in Schweinfurt, Germany, Ron obtained the items
displayed on this site. It is his hope that this service will enable you
to acquire needed items for your Squadron memorabilia. If he is able to acquire
other items of memorabilia, they will be displayed on this site
