General Meetings
Meetings are usually held on the first and third
Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM at
Mrs. Garcia's Restaurant in Marina Del Rey
(Washington Blvd. just east of Glencoe).
June 6th: Speaker: William "Bill" Ellis, a P-51 and B25 pilot from the Tuskegee Airman.
June 20th: Annual Scholarship Dinner
July 4th: No meeting. Have a happy Independence Day!

OI Foundation Representative
We need a volunteer to act as our O.I. Foundation representative. This person will be in charge of passing along information about the Optimist International Foundation; soliciting gifts from club members; heading a club fund raiser for the Foundation's benefit (at least half of the proceeds to the Foundation); sending donations directly to the Foundation office or to the District Foundation representative; asking members about dollar matching programs at their place of employment; asking for business donations; promoting bequests in wills; explaining about the Friends of the Optimist Foundation Society; encouraging memorial and honorary gifts; and asking for the club's annual Foundation gift.If you are interested in this position, please contact us.
