1/16 inch Philips Round Head Stainless Steel screw securing a new Reed. A small drop of Loktite will prevent the screw from coming loose.

Reed and screw as pictured in previous photograph. One can see how very small the length of the screw is. The shaft does not protrude from the opposit side of the reed plate. This makes installing a Valve very simple.

This may look bizarr but it is not. The brass hex nut is attached to an 0-80 1/8 inch flat Philips Head stainless steel screw. This method works very well but takes additional work and time.

This is photograph is the opposit side of the previous photograph showing the flat head of the screw has been countersunk, laying flat to the surface of the reed plate.
Installing a Valve is once again very simple.
