I am Rod Bush (rodbush@earthlink.net), born in Jones County, MS, raised in Southern CA and educated at San Dieguito U.H.S. and UCLA. I married Mary, born and raised in Southern CA and educated at Cypress College, Cal State Fullerton and UCLA. Our Children are Jim Bush of Hawaii; Kathy Bush Cherney of Moreno Valley , CA; Steve Bush of Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, Mission Viejo, CA and Family Compass, Inc.; Tom Bush of Los Angeles, CA, a Computer Science grad of UCLA; and John Bush of Montgomery, TX, a UCSB Zoology/ Ecology grad.
I have retired early since layoff from Boeing's Reusable Space Systems Division in Huntington Beach, CA, but now volunteer part-time for the marvelous Aquarium of the Pacific. I attend Long Beach Los Altos United Methodist Church and enjoy my hobbies: Genealogy, Listing Hot Web Sites, Finding New Links, Greene Co, AL GenWeb, PILGRIM-L, Computers, Resources for Writers, Attending Lectures, and participating in the LAUMC Commission on Religion & Race, Women's Issues, Children & Violence Resources, Health Resources & Support Groups, Human Sexuality Issues, Sons of the American Revolution, publishing my Gleanings.

I also enjoy occasional VU Classes forming small groups ac writing letters to friends and relatives. In my leisure time, I read The Los Angeles Times, the NY Times, or other world news resources for the latest news,TimeDaily for magazines or watch the Discovery Channel and A&E . When the grand children are visiting, we play with FIDO! (The Family Internet Directory Online) . I have other interests in Aboriginal Rights , reading Dr. Larsen's book, finding good Web References, Seeking Truth, working with Small Groups, remembering Jester Hairston, considering Independent versus Assisted Living and statusing the Open Directory Project.
Mary is battling Fibromyalgia, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and ADD, but on good days enjoys music, singing, playing English Handbells, Square Dancing, P.E.O, growing house plants, browsing at Michaels Arts and Crafts Store, Hancock Fabrics or Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, or Sewing and Other Hobbies.
