I've been a writer for some time, originally a Technical Writer.
In the last several years I've expanded my writing into a number of areas.
I've
written numerous articles, ones for such magazines as Internet Review of Science Fiction, Neometropolis, and many
others. Currently, and for the last two years, I've been a resident bimonthly columnist for Alien Skin
Magazine. I'm also a staff reviewer for Novelspot.
Soap Bubbles was my
first published sci-fi story. Implosion came out with Alien Skin Magazine. These Cold Depths
of Space was with Fables Magazine in their 2004 autumn edition. Gateway SF published Let It Be Forever. EaglesongBooks.com
accepted my time-travel romance, Miss Annabelle'sYankee. I've
placed four consecutive times in the L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future contest for 2003 and 2004. This placed me (along with others) in the top 15 percent of such writers worldwide.
Currently, I have stories accepted by Aberrant Dreams Magazine (Without Omens
-- online and print), Continuum Science Fiction Magazine (Dance of the Butterflies -- online), Baen Universe
Magazine (Dreamtime -- print), and Fifth Dimension Magazine (This Narrow Isthmus -- online). My
young adult fantasy, Simon Simple and the spirit of the Wendigo, is undergoing second review with Disk-Us Publishing.
Lost Echoes, a time-travel romance novel, is my latest effort and has been accepted for publication with
Awestruck Books for some time in late 2006, or early 2007.
NEWS UPDATE: I now have a short story, entitled, Bradbury County, out with
Aberrant Dreams. Also, they have done an interview with me, entitled, Eyes on Rob Shelsky.
Also, earlier this
year, I had a book signing in Atlanta at Oxford Comics and Books, sponsored by Aberrant Dreams Magazine on February 4th
2006. We had a great time!
