Welcome to Conservative's Comment Page™!

You know, there are many folks out there today that no longer understand why Conservatives think the way we do. Hopefully this site, its links, and Forum will educate some of those on the left to see why that is. We don't go jumping after every brass ring story that tells us if we embrace it, we will all be better off.

To those of you that drop in—I thank you!

new graphicFri. 9/25/09:   Well, the other week the Tea Party organized a march on Washington and under-reportedly it was said there were tens of thousands in attendance. One source I heard said far more people were there than for the “Million Man March”.

But I have one question to ask I hope will provoke you to think a little bit.

Does a peaceful and I stress that word, demonstration like this that goes against the ideas of our politicians and the choices they have already made make one little hoot of difference in their minds unless over half of the country were to show up?

Now I said only one question so I won't clarify it by asking any others, but let's add some ideas here to form your thoughts around.

Now if it is a liberal cause like gun control, it doesn't matter what the majority thinks, it's about how a “million mom's” support the “right” idea—the one that gets the coverage and gets the push by the major media outlets. A report that is used for propaganda to show the human lemmings that are all too willing to join the crowd what they really need to believe in.

Since there is almost no one that wants higher taxes (and the politicians know this), I want you to think how many times taxes have been decreased without another tax invented or increased to make up the difference and most likely adding even more to the tax windfall.

See, this is the tool they use to take things away. They tell you they are working for you, no— better, they are “fighting” for you, all the while dangling candy in your face while their other hand is reaching into your pocket looking for your wallet.

So back to point, and I find this hard to do without asking you questions, but I want you to remember all the times that peaceful demonstrations have brought about true changes. Tell me what you came up with.

To rephrase my original question and not ad another, when has a peaceful gathering ever changed one darn thing? Sure, that is what government wants. They want the population to think they can change things by gathering together and holding up signs, shouting chants, and throwing out slogans. The people there want to believe they can do something by voicing their opinions loud and strong. But governments don't care at all. Most of the politicians probably look on with amusement and think they're all idiots. They see them as followers and tools to use because these people are easily snagged with buzz words.

Now I want you to think about something else. The great information highway. The Internet. They want you to think you can get on it and share ideas and it will matter somewhere along the line. Whole websites, just like this one are setup to share ideas and provide insight and there is always the hope that the words people type will change things, maybe a mind or two. I would doubt to say they don't. In fact, the great information age doesn't really do much at all. It's mostly a sales tool. It would be great to think that the internet would give the ability to join together with one voice and bring about real change but it is nothing than a quagmire of billions of little pages with little or no impact at all. It's nothing but a game.

Our founding fathers were able to do something way back then that I don't think is possible today even with the great internet. They were able to band together a whole country and fight for freedom from oppression. They knew that the only true change comes from threats of violence and human sacrifice. It is what it takes for real change. I think that people had to be different than they are today.

In more modern times, Martin Luther King was a great man, but what brought about real change for the black man I think were not the peaceful protests, but people willing to get bruised and offer themselves for sacrifice. People pushed to a state of anger that could take no more.

The modern Tea Party. Imagine the power they could yield if like their forefathers they refused to pay their taxes. All those people all around our country attending Tea Party rallies and deciding they have had enough and won't support unfair taxation. Of course that will never happen. Those rallies will not do a darn thing unless the politicians think they can use them for their own advantage somehow. Taxes will not go down anytime soon, and the government will gain more control and intrude deeper into our lives. Think. Think for yourself. And realize that intelligence is power. That thought alone might explain why public schools are turning out working sheep and not kids that are thinkers. Another story, another day.

Blue FireSat. 9/5/09:   I have been meaning to write these thoughts for some time, but today I read this article that says the same thing I have been thinking for years now. Take a look at it. It has a lot of facts and figures. All I had was the idea based on common sense and observations.

We have to stop the war on drugs!

I have been watching the show “Gangland” recently which documents various outlaw gangs across the country and the viciousness by which they operate. If you haven't seen any of these programs, I highly recommend that you do to see what may be coming to your own neighborhood sometime in the future if it is not there already.

These gangs appear to be running all the drug trade across the country now. And if you haven't been keeping up, Mexican drug gangs have taken up residence on this side of the border complete with their own harsh brand of violence typically seen mostly in third world countries. Any of these gangs will kill each other and innocent people who get in their way. They kill law enforcement personnel, rape, steal, rob and do anything else that they seem to want to do. You can not insulate yourself completely from them, or their reach. Maybe this country shouldn't be embracing third world immigration like it seems to have been doing in recent years. Those running our nation have been catering to them and letting them divide our country into two cultures and languages all under the liberal notion that diversity makes us better.

But we can cut the power of these street gangs and give a percentage of our population what it wants. We have to legalize all drug use. We have to. More people are dying from the violence than from the drugs. More people are going to prison than need to be there and we are paying for it all. Most of our crimes are all drug related. You have to start to think for yourselves people and not from what you just hear others say. You have to be able to form your own opinions no matter what the popularity of them might be.

Think of the tax money that goes towards the war on drugs and the prisons to house the people that end up there. It is all needless, wasted money. Put that money towards helping those that want off drugs, and legalize and tax drug use like alcohol. That would give our economy a boost.

Never did I think it would take this long to even legalize marijuana. As we creep deeper towards becoming a third world country ourselves, we have to think smarter in order to keep our freedoms and our way of life. How bad does it have to get before we will do something?

pinwheel  Sun. 8/16/09:   Can government be trusted in the healthcare debate?

Seriously. Ask a smoker what happens when the government looks out for their health. Was the Federal government concerned about any of their freedoms like choice or showed any form of fairness and equality with up to a 600% tax increase on tobacco products? With tax jumps from $1.10 to $24.78? That is above already imposed state taxes by the way. If you read THEIR REPORTS, you will find that most of the health reasons you were told about were in some opinions, a sham.

Got news for you. You are addicted to food. Some unhealthy food. Your lousy habit might cost the government more to keep you alive. Better be sure you can bend over and touch your toes on this one.

And you better really think for yourself.

pinwheel  Mon. 1/19/09:  To truly see without racism is to see without color. You take the person first as a person, judge them as you do all those you meet, whether they are friend or foe, good or bad, lazy or energetic, or whatever else you might use, and the last thing you might notice is what race they are. You become colorblind. Racism revolves around seeing the color of a person's skin and passing judgment on that observation.

That said I work in a diverse atmosphere where I see people as people and not what race they are before I see anything else. Yet in some lines of thought I am a racist and I believe in that for I am proud to be a member of my race and proud of the history of my race's accomplishments just like I am proud to be a Virginian and an American too.

I don't believe in the lying liberal mantra of diversity and you shouldn't either. Cohesiveness and togetherness makes a stronger bond. Dividing people by any means makes the whole weaker, and the outcome lesser than what it should be. If that be based on color or race, religion or thought, age or sex, or even sexual orientation it does nothing to strengthen the unity of people living together in this world, our world, and your world wherever you might be. Diversity is nothing to celebrate.

The idea of Barack Obama and the swirling force around him really bothers me. Tomorrow he will be sworn in as president of our country. The first “black” man to become our President.

Barack Obama is not a black man. Barack Obama's father was a black man from Africa and his mother was a white woman from our country and he was raised in the culture of white grandparents. Yet all you hear about is that Barack Obama is our first black President. He is as much WHITE as he is black. And he is truly African-American and one of the few who can use this divisive term truthfully and with authority. Barack Obama is a man, our next President, a liberal democrat, and whatever else, but he is NOT BLACK. To see him as such is racist.

When I looked at him during the election I didn't see a black man—I saw a man running for President. I also saw black people voting for him because he was “black”. I saw black leaders getting behind him based on color. I witnessed the liberal news media promoting one color above this man's views. They still do. They all do. As I write this I see the all black Harlem Choir on ABC singing about the “battle” still going on. The liberal love fest of promoting division. This is racism. Promoting one based on color is racism. To identify what a person is, by color, is racist.

Diversity does not make us stronger. Promoting Barack Obama by color does not bring us together. To use Dr. Martin Luther King's words in his famous speech: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” is the grand ideal that we should all strive for. For a man of color to be elected our President is a milestone that we should all be proud of and I for one am. We live in the greatest country on earth. For a man to be elected our president because he is a man of color is something we should hold in shame. I fully believe in a nation of colorblindness for that is the lofty goal that will bring all our people together—that all men are equal and held under the same rule of law. That we can all be treated fairly and without prejudiced. I am just not sure Barack Obama is the one will do this.

Already he is dividing us by color. He is wanting to divide us by rights and economic stature. By those that rule and those that are subject to an oppressive government growing larger and more intrusive into our lives. His plans seem to be based on one group paying the way for the other. More division. A lot of promises and a lot of hope. The liberal agenda, another unjust dream fulfilled.

Barack Obama is not black. Or white. He is a man—one man—who holds the hope of so many. I say to you, it is not up to him to fix this country, but up to each of us doing our best to do our part, to come together, and work together in order to solve this nation's problems. To become a strong moral nation. United not divided. That is where I stand.

Blue Fire Thur. 9/11/08:

Hello,

Today as I type, the date is September 11, 2008. The anniversary of 9/11. Please take a moment to reflect on what this means to you and others. Remember those fighting to keep us free.

Okay, the reason for my post today. The last previous update on this page was in September of 2006. I am making this entry to say I am essentially ending further updates to this page. However, I will maintain the FORUM with no plans of shutting that down. Those dropping in are welcome to post their thoughts there. It's free and easy to sign up. No big deal.

You are welcome to browse the archives to see what this site was about. For me it was a blog before the popularity of blogs. Starting in 2003, I worked on it for years browsing news articles from around the world and highlighting or commenting on those that I felt had relevance to the Conservative movement. I had several format changes over time and added features like a live chat room, plus forms where you could comment on what you saw here thus sending your thoughts to me with a simple click.

To be able to put this site here I had to learn a lot. I had to learn a lot about HTML code, how to manipulate graphics, various Chatroom techniques, and how to create and manage a message board. This was a good thing. To learn something new and how to do it—at least for me—is the spice of life.

My links (which are some of the best I've found) are still good and I will keep checking on them so those dropping in can use them.

The future of this site is still up in the air. If I thought a blog, using blog software would do something I might give it a try, but I doubt if it would make a difference in anything. Most people don't tend to change their viewpoints and there are a lot of stupid people in this world. I leave you now with this one last challenge. Don't be one of them.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to look around.
