Roberto Aramburu has more than 15 years of combined experience in the Music Technology, Music Education, and Music Production-Post
Production fields. Actually, he is working at IK Multimedia, teaching at AiFL (Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale), and preparing
new material to license via Music Production websites.
- At IK Multimedia, Roberto Aramburu covers 5 different professional areas such as Technical Writer/Content Developer,
USA Product Specialist, Researcher, Test Lead, and Support Lead.
For example, as Technical Writer/Content Developer he wrote the Installation and User Manuals for several IK products,
supervise-fact check all the reviews (written by EM, Mix, EQ, Remix, Future Music, Sound on Sound magazines), and the content
of the AmpliTube 2 User Manual was partially included in a guitar-based Berklee course.
As a Test Lead, he is responsible for all the IK Multimedia products line testing, for the Works with Windows Vista Logo
program, and to prepare IK computers for international events like NAMM, MusikMesse, AES, etc. He also tested for Adobe and
Sony.
Roberto Aramburu is the Tech reference for all the IK departments (USA), frequently training Sales, Marketing, and Support
staff, and the liaison with the headquarter office (Italy). He also collaborates in Music Technology presentations, Clinics,
e.g. at UM for Music Engineering students and does research for any R&D initiative such as the Jimi Hendrix and SampleMoog
projects.
- In the academic field, "THE GUITAR APPLICATION TOOLKIT (GATK)" paper was accepted as a Demo presentation at
ICMC06 (International Computer Music Conference) and SEASHA, (Roberto Aramburu's composition), was included in the SEAMUS
Electroclip CD project and in Concert 9 of EuCuE Series XXV SEAMUS Electroclips 2004 (Electroacoustique Concordia University
Electroacoustics, Concordia University Music Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Montreal, Quebec, Canada).
- As Music Educator, Roberto Aramburu hold several managerial positions at prestigious educational organizations, such
as Head of the Music Department-Director of the Music Academy, Head of the Art Department, Studio Coordinator/Head of the
Guitar Department, and Main Guitar Instructor. In addition, he co- wrote two numbers of the Music Education research bulletin
for the CIEM (Music Education Research Center), and is cited on various newspapers articles and schools publications.
- As a Freelance Producer, he composed music for Discovery Channel, TNT, and signed several distribution agreements with
music production websites in the USA, Canada, France, and Australia.
