Do you
know...
...why
abortion was illegal in the United States before Roe v Wade?
Most people
know that the Supreme Court legalized abortion in the United States in the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. But many people—even
those who consider themselves pro-life—don’t know why abortion was illegal in the majority of states prior
to 1973. Do you?

Clutter-busting Photographs
It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand
words. But in some cases, pictures can convey an almost priceless truth that simply cannot be communicated through words
alone. One element we focus on in Compelling Interest is the role photographs play in the abortion debate.
A classic example of the importance of photographs
is found in a photo taken in 1999 by a freelance photographer in Tennessee named Michael Clancy. Ironically, Clancy's "Hand
of Hope" photograph had nothing to do with the abortion debate. Clancy had no intention of becoming a pro-life activist when
he was hired by USA Today to photograph a maternal-fetal surgery at Vanderbilt University. Nor was he aware of the
changes that were about to take place in his life as a result. You can read all about it and see the photo at Clancy's website:
www.michaelclancy.com.
The story behind the photo is fascinating, but the
truth is, it's the content of the photo that makes it so controversial.

Will Mitt Romney be the next President of
the United States?
Mitt Romney is one of the leading front-runners for

his ability to get the nomination, fearing that many mainstream Christians will not vote for a Latter-day Saint.
Do you know...
...who commanded the Mormon's
to start practicing polygamy? Why was polygamy practiced in the first place? Did God command polygamy?
Have you recently...
...been visited by Mormon
missionaries? Do you know how you would respond if you opened your door to discover Mormon missionaries standing there? Should you let them in?
