Dad has Published a book!

-- called "Golden Memories: Stories of My Life"

Here is what he has to say about it:

"I've had a lot of experiences in my lifetime. I thought it might be of interest to some people to see how we managed to get through some of the hardships that followed us and what we did for fun when we had time for it.

I'm seventy-eight years old, so you're going to have to bear with me. I'm giving the information as accurately as I can remember it. I could be off a little, but most, I think, will be pretty accurate." (Les Wade)

The book was published in 1997.

Leslie Wade died in June of 2001 and his wife Idella Wade died in October of 2001. We miss them very much, but they're memory still lives on at Wade's Gold Mill and Mining Museum.

The "Golden Memories" project was coordinated and produced by Larry R. Hutson of Wordpower (P.O. Box 123, Hill City, SD 57745) in 1997 from personal interviews and tape recordings made by Les Wade.

The book "Golden Memories..." 8 1/2" x 11" has 78 pages with 33 pictures.

It will be on sale at Wade's Gold Mill and Mining Museum Gift Shop for $12.00 (plus $3.00 shipping and handling if you want us to send one to you.)
