Here you can download the files you need to put an event calendar on your own site.
- The "pik_cal" package contains the calendar scripts along with sample files to get you started.
- The separate "pik_xl" package which contains the Excel spreadsheets is not required, but it allows for
Easier Event Editing.
Instead of trying to sell these tools to help people set up their web calendars,
I decided that I would rather have people using these tools even if I make no money from it, so I am releasing them as
donationware.
Why should you consider donating?
Much software is written by individuals to satisfy their own particular needs. To go beyond that by making it flexible
enough to be useful to others and then creating documentation and web sites to share it with them takes extra time and effort.
A donation, however small, is a way to encourage this extra effort. In addition, for anyone who makes a donation, I will add
their email address to my email list to announce new releases and give extra consideration to their suggestions.
If you choose to donate, you can use the PayPal link below or contact me for alternative arrangements.
You can also contribute by referring other users to this tool and allowing me to add a link to your site's calendar in
my Calendar Gallery.

<= This link will take you to the PayPal site where you can send your donation to calendar@pikesys.com. If you prefer other arrangements, contact me.

Latest Releases:
Note: I used to have scripts to count the downloads here but they seemed
to have problems and actually blocked downloads in some instances. Instead, please add a pushpin for your location on my Frappr Map.
Instructions for pik_cal package:
- Download pik_cal zip file and extract the files.
- Open your browser on the sample html files to view the sample calendars.
- Modify sample files as desired for your own calendar and insert your own
events. When you are satisfied, upload to your web site.
Instructions for pik_xl package:
- Download the pik_xl zipfile and extract the files.
- Copy the appropriate .xls file to some appropriate name [Note:
the default filename for exported event scripts is derived from the spreadsheet filename.]
- Open the spreadsheet and replace the sample events with your own. [Note: Excel should
ask if you want to enable macros - you will need to agree for the macros to work.] If you prefer, you can examine the macros
in the .bas file first and then create a new spreadsheet and import them using Excel's Visual Basic Editor ([ALT][F11]).
Then close and reopen the spreadsheet and import the sample data.
- If you have multiple event scripts to maintain, you could put each on a separate worksheet within
the same workbook; the calendar script import and export functions added to the File menu operate on the currently active
worksheet.
