Management
is an important tool in maintaining an atmosphere that permits students
to learn and explore. Without proper management, classrooms descend into
chaos. Although the world may be an imperfect place, classrooms can focus
on creating a safe environment conducive to exhange and exploration of
ideas. By understanding students' cultures, communities, and capacities,
a teacher can create an atmosphere that aids all students in their education.
Furthermore, management opportunities, especially when established as
a group, offer a chance for the classroom to prepare to be considerate
of the outsider and the foreigner. The class could establish rules that
explore ways to accept other people's ideas as well as critique ideas
in an appropriate manner. All in all, management is important for maintaining
decorum and order in the classroom so that all students have an equal
opportunity to learn and explore. Further, management permits an outstanding
opportunity for the learners to have firsthand experience in being considerate
to other people.
