Crowned With Many Crowns

 

The Crowns of the King:

Rev. 19:12

He is crowned with glory–Ps. 8:5; Heb. 2:7, 9

He is crowned with honor—Ps. 8:5; Heb 2:7, 9

He is crowned with the Church—Is. 62:3; Zech. 9:16

He was crowned with thorns—Mt. 27:29; Mk. 15:17; Jn. 19:2, 5

He is crowned as a conqueror—Rev. 6:2

 

The Crowns of the Bride:

Ez. 16:12; 1 Cor. 9:25

The Bride is crowned with wisdom—Pr. 4:9

The prudent have a crown of knowledge—Pr. 14:18

The wise are crowned with riches—Pr. 14:24

Elderly people are crowned with glory when they live righteously—Pr. 16:31

Grandchildren are the crown of old men—Pr. 17:6

The Lord is the crown of glory for His people—Is. 28:5

Those whom we have influenced for the Gospel become our crown—Phil. 4:1; 1 Thess. 2:19

There is a crown of righteousness awaiting the Bride who look for the Lord’s return—2 Tim. 4:8

There is a crown of life for those who endure temptation and testing—Jas. 1:12; Rev. 2:10

When the Chief Shepherd appears, the Bride will receive the crown of glory—1 Pet. 5:4

At the moment of coronation of a king or queen on earth,

noble men and women crown themselves with smaller coronets

• When we see our King, we will cast our crowns before Him

 

 

Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. Rev. 3:11

(Grandchildren are also named as one of our crowns, but these others are all fruits of our relationship with the Lord—Prov 17:6. Consider the prayers of grandparents!)

 

 

 

The Garments of the King

 

The Garments of the Bride

He is clothed with majesty—Pss. 93:1; 104:1

 She wears a garment of praise—Is. 61:3

He is girded with a golden cord of strength (power)—Ps. 93:1; Rev. 1:13

 She wears clothing of strength and honor—Prov. 31:25

 He is clothed with light—Ps. 104:2

 She wears a robe of gladness—Ps. 30:11

He wears a breastplate of righteousness (enrobed justice)—Is. 59:17

 She wears a robe of righteousness—Ps. 132:9; Eccl. 9:8; Is. 61:10

He has a helmet of salvation—Is. 59:17

 She wears garments of salvation—Ps. 132:16; Is. 61:10

 He wears a garment of vengeance (punishment for evil)—Is.59:17

 She wears a robe of justice—Job 29:14

He wears a cloak of zeal—Is. 59:17

 She is clothed with humility—1 Peter 5:5

Ez. 16:10—Clothing of embroidered cloth, fine linen and silk

Ez. 16:13 "Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. You ate pastry of fine flour, honey, and oil. You were exceedingly beautiful, and succeeded to royalty.
