Stephen White has an estimated birth date of between 1634 and 1638 in England. He was the immigrant ancestor of this family, arriving in Maryland during 1659. He lived on the south side of the Patapso River, near the line between Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties. Stephen married Anne Rockhold, daughter of Robert Rockhold and Sarah Greeneff, say 1669 in Maryland. In 1674, a patent was issued to Stephen for an Anne Arundel County tract called White's Addition, adjoining the tract called Radnage which Stephen also acquired. His will was dated 1 September 1676, proved 19 March 1676/77 [19 March 1677]. Bequests were left to his wife Anne and their only child, a son named Stephen. His death was estimated to be 1677 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
