David S Rowe

David S Rowe was born 1842 in Richland Township, Beaufort County, North Carolina. He was the son of Asa Rowe and Frances Keel. He was recorded on the census of 1 June 1850 living in South Creek District, Beaufort County. He was enumerated as David Roe age 8 in the household of Asa Rowe. During the year 1861, David S Rowe enlisted in Company I, 4th Regiment North Carolina State Troops, to serve in the armies of the Confederacy during the War Between the States. Company I was known as the Pamlico Rifles. He died 31 May 1862 in the Battle of Seven Pines, Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia.
