Thomas Tomlinson III

Thomas Tomlinson III has an estimated birth date of 1825 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He was the son of Thomas Tomlinson II. He was recorded on the census of 1 June 1850 living in Edgecombe County. He was enumerated as Thos Thomlinson (Shoemaker) age 21 in the household of John W Farmer Sr. He married second Elizabeth Wilkinson 24 May 1856 in Wilson County, North Carolina. Their names were recorded as "Thomas Tomlinson and Elizabeth Wilkenson." During the period of 1859–1860, several members of the Tomlinson family migrated to Texas from Wilson County, North Carolina. Thomas Tomlinson migrated to Montgomery County, Texas, along with his uncles and aunt who were James Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, Daniel Tomlinson and Temperance Tomlinson. They were all enumerated as living within a couple of dwellings of each other on the Montgomery County 1 June 1860 census.
