Real Estate and Feng Shui

Almost every real estate agent has run into homes which will reliably come on the market within a known number of years. In some houses, the people who move in are bound to get divorced. In others, everyone who lives there goes bankrupt.

This is often no accident. Many of these houses have serious environmental problems, which can be addressed by using the principles of Feng Shui, an environmental discipline which originated several thousand years ago in China. In addition, several other findings from a variety of fields will greatly enhance the value you can give your clients. You now have a way to prevent great misery for your clients in many cases, as well as ways to reliably make life much better once your people have moved in.

To many people, this may seem like some wierd Chinese thing with no relevance to stresses of the modern real estate market. Actually, much of Feng Shui is now becoming recognized as workable, with a scientific foundation. Many aspects of it have been found to affect natural forces which are now beginning to be classified by Western scientists. Other aspects can be seen as simply the way environments communicate messages to people all the time.

While no agent should be expected to suddenly become an expert on this subject, along with all the other things that have to be considered when transferring properties, it is a good idea to know at least some basics. The most progressive Feng Shui experts are now set up to act as building inspectors. It is possible to get a report which includes all the standard building inspection points, and extensions which address how properties can be improved using these principles. Some Feng Shui experts have taken the trouble to obtain certification in environmental building protocols or conventional building inspection techniques.
