RISHA ARTS: ABSTRACT PAINTINGS. My creative works are about transforming loss into joy through the arts. I created the term 'Transformation Artist' to describe myself and my transformation artworks. My soul is spiritually nourished and renewed by the arts. My goal is to create unity on earth and to teach our youth and communities about mutual respect and kindness.

My paintings are created with acrylic paints and mixed media materials on canvas, clay tiles, wood and recycled items. My abstract paintings are 'interactive.' Feel free to contact me with inquiries.

My Art Education degree dates back decades. Have been part of a couple of artists' collectives. Some of my paintings ('Renewal' and 'the Soul of Asian America') have been published in art journals. My abstract paintings have been on exhibit from coast to coast. I have worked as a production artist for a design company in the southwest -- painted on patina metal sculptures.

A display of my 'Transformation Art' and a slide show were at Columbia University, in New York (2007) as part of a conference on nonviolence and world peace. A professor from Italy later invited me to bring my artworks to Rome.

"Transformation Art" is about healing and spiritual renewal. As an artist, educator and diversity consultant, my creative and written works have to do with healing the earth.

My muses have included Pollock, Matisse, Kandinsky, and Klee; Zen artists.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: Since 2006, I have donated several abstract paintings to non-profit, humanitarian organizations; one art auction (of collective artists) raised over $3,200 in scholarships for 'students of color'.

'RISHA ARTS' POSTCARDS ------ These new postcards have photos of two paintings: "CyberHeart" and "Justice". $1.50 each.

GREETING CARDS (with envelopes) are available in various designs at $2-3.00 each. Dozens of new abstract designs.

PRINTS (8.5 x 11") are available for the "CyberHeart", "Harmony", "Justice" paintings (and others, including 'Mosaic' tiles) from $15 and up. "CyberHeart" is about the heartfelt connections that people can make, even over something as impersonal as the Internet or email. The "Justice" prints are popular with attorneys and people interested in global harmony.

ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTINGS / GICLEE / PRINTS (16 x 20" or larger -- on canvas board or stretched canvas) -- acrylic, gouache, and mixed media. Most of my original, abstract paintings are 16 x 20". Some of my original paintings are available only as giclee art. Many of my original abstracts take years to complete! Prices range from $600+ for original paintings (16 x 20" or larger); barter / trade options are available. Giclee inkjet artworks are about $300 (16 x 20"). Will also work with folks on a barter or sliding scale system.

Handmade HATS and SCARVES. As a fiber artist, I also sell crocheted hats and scarves (wool, synthetic, cotton, silk, Tibetan silk, and bamboo yarns). One hat takes about 6 hours to crochet. Prices vary from $30 to $50 each.

CLAY TILES (earth tones, metallics, and maroon abstract designs) are on a sliding scale; rates from $35+ each. Wishing you all the best. Peace to you!
