WORD ORDER
in a complete declarative (=ordinary) sentence...

ALL Languages fall into one of two possible categories:
SVO ORSOV

English is: S V O --> Subject - Verb - Object (I love you)
German is: S V O --> Subject - Verb - Object (Ich liebe dich)
French is: S O V --> Subject - Object - Verb (Je t'aime)
Spanish is: S O V --> Subject - Object - Verb ((yo) te amo)

Don't fall in the trap of thoughtlessly using your native language's word order in the language you're studying. J'aime toi. I you love. You may eventually get your point across, but you will attract attention to your lack of language ability than to what you want to say!.
