Because the Church considers marriage so serious, so fundamental for the world, and so permanent in itself, we do require
both of you to be properly prepared for living your marriage. The following pages mentions most of the requirements and they
must all be met. However, there is a more important requirement: We speak of the spiritual preparation. At this time you may
spending lots of time worrying about lists, the reception place, who are to be in the wedding party and so on. We want you
to remember and consider that you enter into it free from freely and without reservations.

"I have some questions about the annulment of marriage. I am the respondent in this particular case. If I, as the respondent
do not consent to the procedure taking place can it still go ahead?" - From a Reader

Marriage Blog...
I am currently waiting on the annulment proceedings regarding my first marriage. It has been a real journey for me. I wonder
if the result will be positive and if I will go another year without Eucharist.
I am not sure how my petition was filed, but I believe it was due to extreme and prolonged spousal abuse. I think my main
desire right now is to feel like I belong. I am glad I finally found a forum that deals with these issues.
When all is said and done and over with my journey, I think I would like to become an annulment procurator, or work with people
going through this.
I am amazed at how many people who have been Catholic all their lives have no clue as to the gravity and intricacies of this
issue.
