| Originally intended as desktop patterns (that's "wallpaper" for the Macintosh challenged), these designs will work as web backgrounds too. But don't leave your readers like poor Zaphod. Different patterns work better with different colors of text, and some are too busy to serve as backgrounds for text at all. You can use the swatch on the left to judge: hover your mouse over a selection to see it displayed in the swatch; click it to open a window from which you can download it.. | These patterns were created using an insanely great application called TextureFnoob, by Andrew Plotkin. TF can do a lot more than generate desktop patterns--for example, it also produced the "flaming apple" seen here. | |
