The house is a modern two story, three bedroom two bath home with plenty of lanai space to allow you to enjoy life here indoors or outdoors with equal ease. You may each day battle with whether to fully explore the island or just sit back, relax, and take in the pleasures of the valley around you. There are two fabulous living spaces outside the house that you will enjoy almost as much as indoors. After all, you are on Kauai with year round temperatures in the 80's and lots of tropical breezes and warming sun. There is a large lanai that features a hot tub, with palm trees over your head and around you in one direction and a view of the mountain in the other. At night, there are stars everywhere. There is an outdoor shower for use before the hot tub; you may find yourself wanting to shower outdoors all the time like we do. It is such a treat to indulge in a warm, soothing shower while out in the open, tropical air. You can even be naked anywhere on the downstairs lanai if you like without worry of anyone seeing you. On the covered lanai there is a large table, easily accommodating dinner for six or eight as well as several extra chairs for sipping coffee or reading. There is also a hammock for two where you can read, contemplate, sleep, or take in the sights and sounds around you.  And since this lanai is screened in you have another large virtually outdoor living room to be enjoyed at dusk and into the evening without any bugs at all.  And since there is wireless internet in the house you can do your computer work whilst sitting virtually outdoors midst the 100 shades of green.  In the yard on the edge of the jungle is a sweet little garden cottage - a picturesque part of the landscape, an artist's retreat.

Inside the house there are several more equally exciting living spaces. After removing your shoes per Hawaiian custom, you enter a spacious living/kitchen/dining area with a high, vaulted mahogany ceiling and beautiful wooden floors. The kitchen is stocked with accessories and appliances for preparing a gourmet feast; the dining area has comfortable seating for six. Fine workmanship is obvious in the curved wall corners everywhere. The owners are artists, as reflected not only in their own personal artwork but also in the interesting exotic decorations everywhere- just enough to make it memorable and interesting but not too much to overpower the hundred shades of greenery you see from every window. Sit back, turn on the CD player, and relax. There is also a new large high definition flat screen TV obviously with cable access and a DVD player. Downstairs, there are also two bedrooms: one with a queen size bed and one with two twin beds. Both bedrooms have the Wainiha mountain view- the queen bedroom looks out over the large lanai, hammock, and plenty of jungle and mountains. The twin bedroom is nestled in the surrounding shell ginger plants and hibiscus and has its own television, also hooked up to cable. There is a full bathroom on the main level. The laundry room, with new washer/dryer, is outside near the carport for your convenience.

As you go up the stairs, you are greeted by several beautiful Japanese kimonos and then you enter the enormous master suite (approximately 600 square feet) with California king bed, separate bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet. It is truly luxurious and open in feeling. The mountain view only gets even better from this vantage point, a bit more open and exciting since you are up one story higher. Step out onto the lanai, an aerie away from it all, where you can relax, read, or just stare at the beauty surrounding you. There's a beautiful table/desk upstairs with roadrunner internet connection (as well as wireless so you can use your computer anywhere in the house) if you find you must do anything resembling work while you're in paradise. Even the closets have lights - how often does that happen? Wake up in the morning to green out every window - all three sides. It feels like you are living in the middle of a national park! You even have an incredible view from the master bathroom. There is a Bose CD player and even a fireplace for atmosphere.
