On March 8, 1997, I finished climbing the 35 Catskill summits in winter. This picture of a great bunch of friends was taken on West Kill Mountain, at Buck's Lookout. There wasn't a whole lot to see that day, as the summit was socked in and it was snowing. After the traditional champagne brunch, a special cake, and presentation of the patch and a custom-made T-shirt, we retreated to the valley below, which was completely snowless.
