What Java Skyline Recommends:
Java Skyline does not currently rate or recommend Java servers or IDEs. Hopefully, some IDE may help you in developing servlets and server applications. However, many such IDEs, those that do, may be specific to one server, to a particular level of Java, or only support some overrated scripting language you have to type into Emacs or Notepad. If anything really good comes along that isn't server specific or JDK specific, we'll shout about it. In fact, there may be one or two out there now...like the one mentioned in the current article on Zat/Spin.

But otherwise, we do not make recommendations about IDEs or servers. This is primarliy because product features can change rapidly - what is good about one product today may be incorporated in another tomorrow.

All the servers are have good points. The environments in which they work especially well the prices and market conditions vary considerably, so any direct comparisons may not be representative of your particular environment.

From time to time, Java Skyline will recommend tutorials, books, development techniques, utilities, and learning tools that we believe you will find valuable. If it's something we think you really, really need to look at, we might give it a multi-star rating. There is no scale. A two star rating does not mean something is only half good as a four star rating. If we recommend it at all, it's good.

If you would like to report or write for Java Skyline, just drop me a
line. If you have already written an article or review, I'll read it, but there's no guarantee it will get in, unless it's very funny or informative, or both. Well..maybe if it's only somewhat funny, but fairly informative.
