SHOOTING RANGE RULES & MATCH SCHEDULE

Rifle Range Rules:

Our rules are simple: COMMON SENSE AND SAFETY ARE A MUST! For our new shooters here are a few of the more important rules.

Firearms will be traditional muzzle loaders using the rod under the barrel to load and clean.

Only non adjustable sights will be allowed.

A separate powder measure must be used to charge the barrel. Never load directly from the powder horn! No blowing down the barrel. Prime only when you step up to the firing line or when directed to do so when on a situation trail walk. You will not be walking through the woods or leaving the range with a loaded firearm.

A smoothbore is any traditional gun without rifling in the barrel. For smoothbore, rear sights will be allowed. No adjustable sights.

Any person under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a non-shooting, responsible adult when shooting on the ranges.

Sign up for the last relay, for each day, will be one hour prior to the closing of the range  This is for all ranges.
