(Birds in Nature) - Other Stuff - by Richard Ditch |

Subject: San Francisco Peaks, Flagstaff, AZ, USA
Date: April 1998
Equipment: Nikon N90S, AF 75-300/4.5, polar, tripod
Film: Fujichrome Sensia 100
Exposure: aperture preferred matrix meter
Scan: Minolta Dimage, 100%
Commentary: One of my strongest memories from driving
coast-to-coast across the US in 1970 was the dark red pavement I
encountered near Flagstaff. I rediscovered this old road on the
Navajo reservation east of Flagstaff, between Winona and Leupp, and
wanted a photo. This twisty section with Hummphreys Peak, the highest
in AZ at 12.633 feet, seemed like a good choice.
