Commentary: Although Green Herons are normally difficult birds to approach, once in a while one is found that is more tolerant. This bird is a regular at a heavily used urban park, so it is used to lots of people and activity. I've photographed this same bird a few times before, and it allows me to get close if I work forward slowly on my knees and butt, behind my lowered tripod,
