Commentary: I'm uncomfortable anywhere around nesting birds and almost never take photos of them. This nest, however, was on the edge of the main entrance walk to the Desert Botanical Gardens where 100's of people likely pass by each day. This was taken about a week after I first saw the nest when I returned to see if it was still active. I stood in the open on the pavement in the only spot where I could get a fairly clean view of the thrasher.
