Scan: Minolta Dimage, 80% of frame

Commentary: I usually can't get close enough to raptors for a decent image, but on this visit to Bosque del Apache we had three different kestrels that were a bit more cooperative than usual. This one was found along the roadside south of the visitor's center near the large gull pond. I would prefer that the small branches weren't blocking part of the bird, but with raptors I always "shoot first and worry about the details later."
