Place: Bosque del Apache NWR, NM, USA
Date: November 2002
Equipment: Nikon N90S, Nikkor AF-S 300/2.8 & TC20E (= 600/5.6), monopod from car
Film: Fujichrome Sensia 100
Exposure: Aperture priority matrix metered
Scan: Minolta Dimage, 90% of frame

Commentary: Most of the photos of Sandhill Cranes taken at Bosque del Apache are of birds flying out of or into the night roost ponds. I wanted a different view, and I always like habitat in my images. This was taken on the Marsh Loop where I see a few cranes on every visit.
