image
Place: Maricopa, AZ, USA
Date: April 2002
Equipment: Nikon N90S, Nikkor AF-S 300/2.8 & TC20E (= 600/5.6),
from car window
Film: Fujichrome Sensia 100
Exposure: Aperture priority matrix metered
Scan: Minolta Dimage, 100% each, three separate images
Commentary: This is my first attempt at combining separate images.
This is made up of three frames taken over a short period of a single
bird, as it moved on the same post beside my car. Note that in the
rightmost image you can see the nictitating membrane that protects
the eye - this is a transparent inner eyelid that is partially across
the eye at the moment of exposure.
