February 1, 2003 Day 190, 1387.5 hours The first task was to construct the sub-panels for the airframe and panel. This picture shows the back of the overhead switch panel. This panel has the master switches for the power bus and radios, the starter button, and switches for the magneto, electronic ignition, pitot heat and fuel pump, as well as indicator lights for each switch. |

February 5, 2003 Day 194, 1413 hours The second task for this session was to place all the wiring in the central keel. This shows the wire bundle as it emerges from the keel underneath the instrument panel. This cable includes all of the wires from the button on the control stick and the wires to the earphone and microphone jacks for the pilot, co-pilot and passengers. The red spring is the shock absorber for the nose gear. |

February 6, 2003 Day 195, 1420.5 hours The third task was the wiring of the nose compartment. The very large wires shown here are for the starter, engone ground and alternator. Because of the very large stiff wires, this was more like plumbing than wiring! But now, the demons have been purged from the nose compartment and I can turn my full attention to the panel. |

February 7, 2003 Day 196, 1425 hours The control stick was wired internally and installed during this session. The bundle of wires on the floor are the terminations of all of the airframe wiring, which was completed during this session. These need to be routed to the panel and electrical distribution system. Once they are connected, engine start is possible, and testing of the engine and hydraulic systems will begin. |
