May 28 2002 Day 138, 1023 hours The small black device attached to the engine mount with two hoses running to it is a pressure sensor for the manifold pressure. This also required numerous trips to the hardware store. For some reason, each of these "standard" engines rapidly becomes a custom installation! |

May 30 2002 Day 140, 1037.5 hours This picture, taken from above the engine at the firewall, shows much the work done this session. The vacuum pump is shown just to the left of the white oil filter, with the lines connected. The crankcase breather is the large hose running to the right. The small hose near the firewall is a manifold pressure line running to a sensor on the electronic ignition unit. The small device with the wire leading away just below the oil filter is the oil temperature sensor for the engine monitoring unit. |
