February 2, 2001 Day 2, 18 hours The fuselage is constructed in a mold and delivered as one piece (in the case of the fast-build option). The first thing you do is cut out a lot of holes. Then you go home and try to claw the fiberglass out of your skin! Then, you get out the instructions you didn't read about how to work with fiberglass without driving yourself into a frenzy of itching. |

February 3, 2001 Day 3, 27.5 hours Some of the holes turn into ducts and scoops. These are the NACA ducts that collect air for engine cooling. This view is from the back (the engine is in the rear). The panel in the foreground is the firewall where the engine will be mounted. |

February 15, 2001 Day 10, 133.5 hours The other end of the aircraft shows the opening for the landing light and the wheel well for the retractable nose gear. The doors, hinges and actuating mechanisms for the gear well are cut out of fiberglass panels and put together with structural epoxy. |
