I don't know whose job it was to get the movies prior to any trips but this one time Lawson, QM1(SS) and myself took it upon ourselves to do the honor. It was common knowledge that if you greased the provider of the movies with some coffee or steaks or whatever (graciously donated by Prok or Shaky our outstanding cooks) - you could get the pick of whatever (that is if another boat hadn't beat you to it!).  On the way over to get these movies, we had the very bright idea that we would post a list in the after battery of all of the biggest movies of that time.  It just happened to be Academy Award time and we had the names of the best nominated movies, actors, actresses, etc.....We took whatever the guy had and there were not too many earth shattering movies among the group, but I hustled back and typed up a list of every one of the movies listed for an award and posted it.  Lawson had to hide the shit that we got because as I say, there wasn't too much to pick from.  The crew was overjoyed and anxiously awaiting the "movie marathon"  going to watch every damn best seller on the market.  I don't know how we got out of that one.
