How to Join the
Sierra Pelona
Guests are VERY welcome at
our meetings. Please come by and meet us!!
The SPRC is a
private club which anyone can join upon fulfilling the following requirements.
We are non-commercial, non-sectarian, and non-partisan.
To join the club
you must first attend 2 general meetings. After 2 meetings, you need the
recommendation of 2 active members and to present an application for membership
to the membership chairman with a $2 initiation fee. New members are voted in
by a majority ballot at the following business meeting (I have never seen
anyone turned down). You will be inducted at the next general meeting.
Membership dues are $20 a year payable in March.
There are 5 types
of club memberships: Active, Inactive, Life, Junior, and Pebble Pup.
Active
members must be 18 years or
older.
Junior
members are between the ages of
7 and 18 years. One of his sponsors shall be a parent or guardian who is
responsible for the conduct of the junior member. Initiation fee is $1.
Pebble pups are under the age of 7 years. A parent or guardian
shall be one of his sponsors and shall be responsible for the welfare and
conduct of the pebble pup. Initiation is $1 but membership dues are free.
