OPERATION TOASTY TOES CONTINUES!!! we are accepting donations of finished (or even half
finished!) slippers, or yarn. Email us at Rocking Horse Farm for info!
Our chapter has sent over 15,000 slippers to
servicemen. Many of the donor knitters have received letters and photos from the men and women in the field. They are in Afghanistan,
Iraq, Bosnia, Korea, and other places not specified.
FUN FACT! Each November and December we use donated Operation
Toasty Toes slippers to help decorate one of our "Mitten Trees" at Rocking Horse Farm. When our annual mitten & hat drive
is complete, the slippers are sent off with Operation Toasty Toes.
Do you need a pattern? You can use any pattern you like... but if you don't have a nice pattern for the knitting
machine, many machine knitters are using our "EASY BULKY DOUBLE SLIPPER" pattern, $6.00 +shipping.

Read this letter we received in December, 2005:
"Toasty Toes at Rocking Horse Farm,
Last year while in iraq I received a set of your slippers and they were a blessing. Right now I am back again and have
a group of 60 Hospital Corpsmen with me from 2D Marine Division in Camp Lejeune. We are part of the 22nd MEU out here securing
an area north of Baghdad. We are living in tents and building with no heat or running water. I was able to get this email
out at one of camps that have all the ammenities of the States.
If you feel it in your hearts to send a package again my way, I will distribute your warm slippers to my guys.
Thanks."
