Friday-Saturday Sept. 18-19, 9:30-6:00 each day
at the ROCKING HORSE FARM facility in Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Classes for Standard, Mid-Gauge & Bulky Knitting Machines may include:
-Crochet Tips for Machine Knitters
-Knitweave Garment (new pattern)
-False Rib (new pattern)
-Inspirational Edges, Trims & Joins
-Garter Carriage Workshop
-Tubular Socks on Flat Machines
-Seasonal Socks: Christmas, Summer, Fall
-Short Row Cape (new pattern)
-Easy Swing Skirt
-Charting for a Personal Fit
-Thrumming (machine or handknitting)
Special Class for Beginning Machine Knitters:
-Class topics will cover machine set-up, cast-ons, bind offs, simple shaping, and more. Hands-on opportunities will be
offered (no need to bring machine). This is suitable for people with little or no machine knitting experience.
Classes for Passap Machines:
3 Passap teachers will offer classes covering many topics, each hour both days.
Classes for Circular Sock Machines (Saturday only)
There will be something of interest to everyone during every class hour. Classes are different both days.
A separate PASSAP classroom will again be available during the entire seminar, as well as a Circular Sock Machine classroom
on Saturday. Other classes will be conducted on Silver Reed, Brother/KnitKing, Studio/Singer and Toyota/Elna knitting machines.
Again this year a TEXTILE LAB will be set up. Topics in previous years included:
-Yarn Blending and Plying
-Hands-on Burn Test to determine fiber content
-Yarn Identification (Bring Mystery Yarn!)

Browse through the $5, $10, and $50 sale boxes containing: Yarn, Pattern Books, Garter Bars, Linkers, Transfer Carriages,
Knitleaders, and more.You must be in attendance on Saturday afternoon to take advantage of these sales.
CONTEST THEME: WILD THING
Prizes awarded and winners announced Saturday. Need not be present at seminar to participate, contact us for info about
mailing items for contest.

This contest is held in conjunction with Carole Wurst's annual SEPTEMBER SEMINAR but you don't have to attend to participate,
mailed entries are accepted.
Contest is open for any knits created in 2014-2015 that fit the theme WILD THING. Entries can be mailed to Rocking Horse
Farm or brought to SEPTEMBER SEMINAR, before or on Sept. 18, 2015.
(1) Garment that incorporates the theme
(2) Wearable Accessory that incorporates the theme (example: cowl, knit jewelry)
(3) Household Item that incorporates the theme (example: pillow, table runner, toy, holiday decor)
(4) Any other topic that fits the theme (provide a brief explanation)
(5) Special Category: use DesignaKnit software to create a new Fairisle motif showing your unique interpretation of the
phrase WILD THING. This could incorporate animals, jungle plants, wild shapes... use your imagination. Submit a swatch or
a printed picture of the DAK file. Swatches created with a punchcard or mylar sheet instead of DAK will also be accepted.
Items must be clean and ready for display. All items will be on display September 18-19, 2015 during the September Seminar.
Winners will be announced on Saturday during the seminar and listed in the publication Machine Knitting Inspiration. Seminar
attendance is not required, but registration forms or tickets for the awards luncheon are available from Rocking Horse Farm.
All items will be judged by Knitting Machine professionals and prizes will be awarded. Prizes include ribbons, rosettes,
gift certificates and items of interest to machine knitters. All entries will receive a certificate of participation.
REGISTRATION FORM FOR MAILED ENTRIES
Mailed entries must arrive by September 18,2015. Please determine the cost to ship your item to Rocking Horse Farm and
submit that amount to cover return shipping (plus insurance) of your item.
Rocking Horse farm is not responsible for lost or mishandled items.
