Becoming Again

Legs upon the land
Wolves almost as cats, constrained
The wind becomes clawed
A rage of wings
Where summer was
Hunger like feathers within
The sounds paws place
Consider them unstirred
The fur bent where life, lost
Could not consume
Make ammends to the play-dogs
Who die first
Pour upon this desert
The last breaths
The tongue heard misunderstood
When the air catches the spirit
The starless storm rangebound
Other nights will stretch stiller
This one becomes gilded, will rain
