MENU 		          Relative to their abundance in the southern United States, there are few Clayton Families in New England and Northeastern New York State.     My research to date has revealed data from the mid-18th century in Worcester County, Massachussetts, from Windham and Rutland Counties, Vermont, and from the following counties in Northeastern New York State: Essex, Saratoga, Montgomery, Washington and Warren.
