Student & School Activities & Events
On the
Campus: A visit to the campus last spring (1997) is the source
for general observations about the alma mater and what changes are noticeable
since the 60's, starting with the visual appearances.
Lincoln
CHANGES
The Campus Cleanup
on Saturday morning, October 3rd, was largely a successful
event with alumni, staff and students working on the slopes of the gymnasium
side of Lincoln Park Avenue.
Another morning effort will be needed to finish the job, but it is very
noticeable, and took 3 city trash trucks to haul away the bags and piles
cut, chopped, pulled, raked, and swept from the hill.
The trimming of the large shrubs and trees done a little over a month ago
helped expose the area more for the cleanup, and this will bring back some
beauty to that part of the campus.
Lincoln Football - 1998 Season
Surprise, Surprise....
There is now progress on the replacement for the Permanent bleachers
which were in a condemned state for more years than we want to remember....
update: The project looks like it will be done by the Homecoming date,
and may even be ready for the 2 games before then.
The projected COMPLETION date is to be in time for the Homecoming
Game, Friday, October 30, 1998.
Yes, there still are NO lights on the field. That is
the subject of another effort to come from the school, parents, AND
DEFINITELY, THE ALUMNI.)))
