5-4-02:  On this Cinco de Mayo, I finally am able to get to pass along the "latest" information on the LHS- 
    The April 14th message from Mr. Wadsworth relayed the following results of yet another successful event for the Lincoln groups (apologies to Wads for the delay in posting):

"Lincoln Varsity Cheer took First Place at the Heart of the Harbor Spring
Spirit Classic on Saturday.  Second place Carson, Third place Garfield.
The Lincoln Tall Flag unit took Second Place in the Tall Flag Competition."

3-4-02    Results of Finals at Magic Mountain, Saturday, 3-2-02.   It looks like the Cheerleaders for Lincoln are continuing to get results from their hard work.   Thanks again to Wads for passing along the news in the following message:

"In the Cheerleading State Finals at Magic Mountain Lincoln placed FIFTH,
replacing one of the long time members of the top 5 cheer teams.  We should
get the actual scores in a day or so.

Congratulations and thank you to Coach Jess Perez, past Captain and USA
Instructor Mario Crespin, and all the current LHS Students and Alumni that
went to Magic Mountain to help cheer us on."

2-27-02-  Magic Mountain Competition of 2-23-02
     Lincoln High School has a highly competitive unit in their present Cheerleader membership.   Last Saturday's partial results from the Magic Mountain competition are in now, and with a thanks to Mr. Wadsworth, here is how things turned out---

The last five are the the other LAUSD schools that were in the competition.

The conpetition among the finalists will be held this Saturday at Magic Mt.
with the Varsity Competition running from 1:15-3:30 PM.
