These nine pieces are all simple, straightforward arrangements suitable for sing-alongs, fillers in a Christmas program or for use in church services. The flute choir I play with needed simple pieces like this exactly for the purposes I've just stated. I'm sure others have the same problem and that is why I've arranged them so. They are not intended to be flashy or shining examples of dynamic arrangement.
With the exception of Jingle Bells (which was arranged when I actually had a bass flute) all the pieces can be played with 4 C flutes and an alto flute. Although adding the bass flute will give them depth, since the alto and bass flute parts are almost completely doubled, they can be played without a bass flute.
As a convenience to the players, in the parts, Jingle Bells has been moved between Joy To The World and O Come All Ye Faithful to avoid having a page turn. Because the pieces are not in any magical order to begin with and because you will probably find yourself playing only select ones at any given time, this should not be a problem. If it is please consider this an apology and as long as you're here please consider this an opportunity to give me some feedback on the topic.
