Ave Maria is a fairly simple arrangement of the song popularly used at weddings (guess why I arranged it). It's arranged for five C flutes, alto flute and bass flute. The alto and bass flute have a parallel part, splitting octaves on occasion so the piece can be performed without a bass flute. I've adhered to the original key so that it can be sung with a soprano on the melody instead of having it played by flute one. The flute 4 and flute 5 parts are probably the most difficult part of the piece as they both have the constantly running figure of 6 16th triplets with the first of each being a rest. This can easily become a problem with the tempo and rhythm if you put weaker players on the part. This would be a good piece to put your weaker players on the melody and give them a chance to shine.
