IN MEMORIAM
Corparáil Paul Falvey
County Cork, Ireland
7 November 1998

Dusk parade of the Royal Galloglas Guard at the grave of
Corparáil Paul Falvey. He was buried with his mother.

On Tuesday, 24 November 1998, the Guard assembled at Paul's father's house in Ballincollig, West Cork and with family and relatives proceeded to the cemetery. A decade of the Rosary was said by the guard in Gaelic, Captain Noel Whelan played a Gaelic lament and then The Minstrel Boy on the Irish Warpipes. Irish whiskey was consumed and a glass also poured over the grave, and the Guard and neighbours repaired to the local public house O'Shea's to "wake" Paul Falvey with his family.

Ar nAthair ata ar neamh
go naofar d'aimn
go dtaga do riocht,
go ndeantar do thoil ar an talamh mar
a dheantar ar neamh
Ar n-aran laethuil tabhair duinn inniu
agus maith duinn ar bhfiacha,
mar a mhaithimidne dat bhfeichiuna fein
agus na lig sinn i gcathu
ach saur sinn o olc

Requiem aeternam.

Chorus Angelorum te suscipiat.

Ego sum resurrectio et vita: qui credit in me, etiam si mortuus fuerit, vivet: et omnis qui vivit et credit in me, non morietur in aeternum.
