How soon we forget. The rain comes and the warning have gone out. There is going to be flooding. Do not try to drive through a flooded area. People have been warned. Who will head the warning? Who is responsible for the life ? The Scripture tell us who is responsible. The watchman is charged with the warning. The person that is told, is responsible to do with the message what they will.

There are many times in our lives we have warnings. Signs warrn us, TV, Radio, other people, Lines on the road, Lights, traffic signals these are all ways that warn us of impending danger. If we head them we go along our merry way with no difficulties. If we do not we are in for trouble. For instance, the lines on the road marking the lanes. They can be run over, walked on, they are not barriers in the physical. But it is to my advantage if I look at them and head them. They protect me. Some might say they limit my freedom. But, I am glad I have them and that other drivers hold them in respect and we all go along with no trouble. But, If I go over the line I endanger my self, those in the car and the other automobiles on the road. So it is to my advantage to take heed. I thank God for the lines on the road. Heed the watchman.

God has given us the Ten Commandments. They are not to condemn us they are to warn us. God knew the pitfalls that surround these statements. For instance. Multiple partners are a real danger to your health. The records are in. The count is out, the known youth in Grade school is 5% that have Sexual Diseases. This will leave them a danger to others the rest of their lives. The diseases are not, if I get it the antibiotics will kill them off. They will never go and may make it imposable for them to bare children and have a normal life. Many of these diseases effect the brain and others organs of the body as well. Was it harsh of God to tell us that sexual immorality is a no, no? Pornography - is included in this it hits two Commandments, Covetousness and Adultery. It injures the Body, Mind, and soul.

The rest of the Commandments are the warnings also. They are really a positive thing. We will be blessed if we keep them. When we break them we are in for trouble. Do we heed the watchman

When we come to Jesus we are to confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways. Then God will hear our cry and forgive our wicked ways and heal us. He has sent the Holy Spirit to assist us in our living and The Lord Jesus is at the side of the Father pleading our case . However we are responsible for our actions. We are responsible for the intent of our hearts. We need to seek God’s grace daily and heed the watchman.

Every one who has declared the name of Christ Jesus is a watchman. By what they do. What their attitude exhibits. The Mercy we extend to others draws the lines, like the Paint on the road. Some times God expects us to speak. We must do so If He asks. But the loudest line is the actions and attitude we exhibit. So when we are called upon to speak a word it will be taken seriously.

if we are not living it, it will mean nothing . The old saying empty Wagons make the most noise is very true. The loudest sermon is the one acted out before the people daily . Watchman, What are you telling those around you.

Watchman ! Are you looking? If you do not heed your surroundings you will fall into a trap. You will drag others in with you .Parents what you do speaks louder than what you say. If we want our youth to walk a path that will bring great rewards, we must walk the path that will bring great rewards. We need to look before we leap. We need to communicate with those that have the answers . We need to heed the watchmen in our lives. We need to respect those in authority over us. Especially God.

In my day of childhood, I was----- by my parents. However, because they did ---- I will not go back to Church. Could someone say of you today ” If That person is blaming me I will not go back. If the church folks don’t provide a loving place for the children to learn how to worship, then who will teach them?

I am sure that Jesus was not always in a quiet surrounding when He preached. He had to escape to a boat because they were pushing and shoving so. Jesus walked and taught through fields. He walked into a grave yard and had a fight with a demon. Today we need to have the love of Christ that draws men, woman and Children into kind of people God wants us to be. If we react in our lives with harsh attitudes, we will create a negative reaction. If we are confused it is our fault. We need to seek clarity and those around will be brought into the light. To add another wrong will not calm the matter at hand. The Oil of love and understanding will first have to effect me, before it will effect those around us. Watchman, what kind of a sign are you displaying? Jesus asked us to Pray Lead us not into temptation . If we pray it and mean it, we will not cause others to walk into the same attitude we are exhibiting. Lord lead me to be merciful to others as you are merciful to me. Watchman what did you say?

Ezekiel was told by God that He had been appointed a watchman. Jesus said it this way . You are the light of the world, a city that is set upon a hill. We are urged to keep our lenses clean. Our direction straight. and the Oil of Gods truth and grace flowing freely through us to those around us. Watchman what shape are you in. Are you watching, are you sending the message? You can make those around you heed the message. But you are telling the message, make it a Godly Message. One that will cause others to want to draw near to the Lord. Even if we are uncomfortable for the moment. Let us remember The Holy Spirit will lead them into the truth, not us. We are just to be the watchman that is faithful to guide the others to safety. The Spirit will Change the world. We only are required to be the light. What they do with it is their charge. We are only required to keep the light burning.

Watchman, Keep the light bright. Clean the lenses. Trim the wick. Keep the Oil flowing. For God has appointed you and me to be the watchmen where we are .

Ezekiel 3: 17

Ezekiel, son of man I have appointed you to stand watch for the people of Israel So listen to what I say, then warn them for me.

Ezekiel 33 6

... suppose Its people choose someone to stand watch and to sound a warning signal when the enemy is seen coming. If any of those people hear the signal and ignore it, they will be killed in battle. But it will be their own fault. because they could have escaped if they had paid attention.

But suppose the person watching fails to sound the warning signal. The enemy will attack and kill some of the sinful people in that country and I , the Lord will hold that country responsible for their death.

Ezekiel, I have appointed you to stand watch for the people of Israel, So listen to what I say, then warn them for me. when I tell wicked people they will die because of their sins, you must warn them to turn from their sinful ways. But If you refuse to warn them you are responsible for their death. If you do warn them, and they keep sinning, they will die because of their sins, and you will be innocent.
