It is until the tiles speed up and tumble down the ramp so fast that you can barely keep up! faster and faster, your paddle becomes a blur as you struggle to keep up with the pace. NWCGE Invaders (NorthWest Classic Games Enthusiasts) first appeared as the final game for the 5th Annual Atari Championship held every year in downtown Seattle, WA. There was demand from local NWCGE members to make this game available to everyone. Thus it was offered at the NWCGE Expo in 2002. This game is a unique hack of Space Invaders. The object of the game is to use the Space Needle (a world famous landmark in Seattle) as your base to drive away those pesky NWCGE from invading your city. NWCGE Invaders comes complete with Atari 2600 compatible cart (NTSC) and nifty box.

Original Run is SOLD OUT

Worship the Woodgrain was a personal project started some time ago as a way to store a massive amount of Atari 2600 games in a tiny amount of space, i.e. my desktop. I got tired of hauling out my cartridge everytime I wanted to play a game. I own a great 256-in-1 multi-cart, but let's face it, messing with those tiny dip switches is a pain in the keester. The results I obtained were better than I originally imagined. I am able to play all 2k, 4k and all Supercharger games on a standard Atari 2600 game machine using a standard compact disk player and a modified Starpath Supercharger.  Quantities are limited. Check the WTW webpage for more information.

DISCLAIMER
Nearly all existing Atari 2600/7800 game images are available from multiple sources on the internet. Then there are emulators; however, something is always lost through emulation and the emulators don't always support all the games and hardware (ever try to play 4 player Warlords on an emulator?). Additionally, there are classic game sites that will provide classic gamers with multi-carts (a cartridge with multiple games on one cart) and copy carts of rare games. But, these options can be costly and frustrating to use.

The idea behind these products is to provide a service which compiles all these games into a compact and attractive form. These compilations  and/or carts are professionally produced. Use of these products will provide most most folks who, would otherwise have an extremely difficult time putting a ROM image on a cart, a chance to play these games on a real Atari hardware with all the appropriate accessories.

Please note as stated above, the games contained on these compilations or cartridges are widely available on the internet, and should not be considered as a substitute for the original distribution media if they existed at all in the first place.
