A Lost Dream

The solitary building

Stands drunkenly

Alone

Its blind eyes

Dark and hollow, seeing

Nothing

Once

It had been full

Of life and laughter

No one remembers

That it was once a

Home

Dreams

Of life, love and laughter

Have faded

And the building

Like the dreams

Slowly dies

Runed Ruins

Thru' the old lonely mud of that dirty water
from stony banks of the Charles River in Boston
someone without rhyme,ruins,& without rythm,bashes, banging
upon deaf ears, she's uselessly clanging
dredging up cess water from the old sewers,
on the banks where the homeless dwell.....

in her walless windings neath sky bove that park,
she's throwing rocks at seagulls,swooping & stark;
she's without heat seething,in Fall's season teething on
a crooked & ancient rooted bark;
opened mute mouth is ceaselessly tuning
into the fog the ruins of runing
numbly wipes shanks where old layered rags smell......

that old weeping trudge dirt downward is sloping
that old lady animal dizzily moping
groping at meanings of words tangled deeply before they can tell;
watches idly the passing of morning,as boats roll past,the passage of evening
& has no where to go no shelter nor moorings
if simply awake she would know this was hell

OUT OF THE FOG

Out of the fog,the misty grey, trots one man thought pure of heart.

With eyes of soft sunshine, laugh like a flower in May-casually

clever in his way;

takes out the gun of silver bullets & shoots down the baby....

into the mist the foggy day.

To Have & To Hold

Said the female theist to the male athiest:

"Do you seriously believe the universe just happened?"

"I do", he said, "and since we're on the subject,

Do you seriously believe the universe

was created by a force outside itself?"

"I do", she said.

"In that case", said the androgonous agnostic justice of the peace,

"I hereby pronounce you husband and wife."
