One of the most common group of questions from people interested
in reincarnation is about soul mates: do we have them, can we find them, can we keep them with us?
The answer to all of those questions is yes - but probably not
in the simple way we are looking for. Some of us want proof of love everlasting, and it is out there - but if you are looking
for love that never changes - that is an illusion.
There is not just one soul mate for each of us, for example. There
is evidence that we are connected to the same group of souls over and over again, but in changing patterns - and in changing
numbers. There is more and more evidence from anecdotal accounts that give weight to a theory that soul energy, a universal
conscious flow, can divide and redivide, and even perhaps come together again, as it actively seeks new experience and
knowledge.
A favorite theory: At the core of everything, all things emanate
from one consciousness, yet the streams of consciousness flow and branch out as experience and change take soul into
different directions.
This is how it is possible to have soul mates and soul groups that
seem a part of us: they are connected as all things are, but shared experience has deepened the connection between the entities
that come out of individual flows of soul.
You can think of it in a simplified way as a great cosmic tree:
the universal soul in the trunk of the tree, dividing into localities (for example: our solar system is a locality). Localities
develop further branches that are oversouls, and oversouls develop soul groups. From the branching of the soul groups come
entities, those which we usually think of as our personal souls. These entities develop lives on this plane - and others -
that give rise to our personas, which in turn give rise to a number of sub-personas, which divide into traits. All of
these things are part of conscious, information bearing energy: all of these things carry the characteristics of active thought,
manifested as mind.
When it seems like you cannot control some little trait of your
personality, it is because the trait, itself, has a mind of its own. We are forever in a state of community between all the
different layers of consciousness. A whole being recognizes that communication between the many layers of being is necessary
for balanced energy, and in the case of living beings, physical health.
