What is reincarnation, really?
The traditional spiritual view, formed through religions such
as Hinduism and Buddhism, is that a soul, through a series of rebirths, lives many lifetimes in order to gain wisdom and a
higher spiritual standing. Is it really that simple?
There are some who believe that all time is simultaneous, and
that an entity gains experience through many lifetimes that seem to follow each other in an order, but are really all being
lived at the same time. How, then, do we progress? Or does each life lend to the others experiences that the others lack?
Do we live to learn only the good, or do we live to experience life in all possible ways?
We really cannot know what the process actually is, or why we
do it. It is certainly fascinating to think of and discuss all the possibilities! But, when we approach Reincarnation,
what are we really looking at?
We are looking at the one thing we know for sure: that there are a
good many who believe we have memories of lives we have lived before.
What do we do with the knowledge of this memory? Now, that is
the real question.
