On the surface, as stated before, all we truly know about reincarnation
is that a number of people have memories of living other lives. This phenomenon can be called persona identification.
In a case of persona identification, there are two broad categories of possibilities. The greatest possibility for most instances
is called archetypal identification - identifying with personalities that have characteristics that
we most want to incorporate into our own personas. The harder to prove possibilities are those we are most interested in:
verifiable instances of past life recall, or past life identification. Or - should we say - other life identification?
Because there are more possibilities out there...
When someone identifies with another person, of whatever time
or place, it is not always a matter of remembering a past life. Human beings seem to have a universal need to strongly identify
with personas outside of themselves, in one way or another. So, if this is true, how do we know when we are truly having past
life memory?
The only way to know for sure is through verification of memory:
seeing how much validation we can find, through the records of others, for the lives that "late we led." Without verification,
there will always be questions. But don't mind that: as long as there are questions, and you love to look for anwers, there's
adventure ahead!
